Cucumber and Yogurt Salad


ingredients:

1.5 Cup plain yogurt.
2 medium sized cucumbers, peeled, seeded and finely diced.
2 large garlic cloves, finely minced.
juice of one lemon.
2 tbsp. Olive oil.
2 tsp. dried mint.
salt.
ground black pepper.


To make the salad, simply gently mix together the ingredients. Season to taste with additional lemon juice, salt and ground pepper.

I'm sorry, I've already commented on the baba ghanouj,i jsut wanted to say that we had and still have tons of cacik as it's called in turkish(due to turkish ancestors!)yogurt is already sour per se ,u really don't need all that amount of lemon!Can i suggest a variation on this recipe? my palestinian friends call it salattat al fala7een:u replace cucumbers with diced tomatoes,green onions and fresh mint,u keep some sprigs for decorations an lot of olive oil drizzled on the top!the best result is when u mix half yogurt and half labneh,or just strain ur yougurt.sa7ten we salamaat!
